EV Maintenance Tips
Here are some of our tips on maintaining your electric vehicle and EV charger.
Whilst electric vehicles take less maintenance than petrol/diesel cars, there are some things you should be doing to ensure the longevity and quality of your EV and its charger.
So here are our tips to maintain performance:
- EVs have fewer fluids to worry about, but brake fluid, coolant, and windshield washer fluid levels should be checked regularly.
- Keep your EV’s software up to date. Software updates can improve performance, efficiency, and address any potential issues.
- Regularly inspect the charging cables and connectors for damage or wear. Clean connectors to ensure a good connection.
- If you’re storing your EV for an extended period, follow the manufacturer’s recommendations for battery storage. Generally, it’s best to leave the battery partially charged and in a cool, dry place.
- Regularly check tyre pressure and ensure they are inflated to the recommended levels. Proper tyre pressure improves efficiency and handling.
